Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a guest on Dzień Dobry TVN, the most popular morning show broadcast by TVN, Poland’s largest television network.
It was a very sentimental visit for me, as my last appearance in their studio was exactly eight years ago, right after I won the NYIAA competition and fulfilled my dream of performing at Carnegie Hall. During this recent interview, we talked about everything that has happened since then—the hundreds of concerts across almost all continents, the new languages I’ve learned, and my continuous artistic growth.
I also shared some honest thoughts about what it means to grow up in a musical family and the sacrifices required in this incredibly demanding industry. I don’t really have time for a typical social life right now, but it is entirely by choice. I am dedicating one hundred percent of myself to my career. When you truly love music and treat it as pure art, the endless hours of practice don’t feel like work at all.
A huge thank you to the show’s producers for providing the photo accompanying this post, which is a frame captured from the live broadcast.
