The article was published in the Hastings Independent, a vibrant newspaper that passionately covers local news, culture, and community events in the Hastings area.
In her review, Victoria Kingham recounts a very special evening at Fairlight Hall, hosted to celebrate the friends and patrons of the Hastings International Piano Competition. During the event, I had the absolute pleasure of sharing the stage with Kenny Broberg for an unannounced recital. The author expressed how stunned she was by our technique and the deep sensitivity of our performance, which is always incredibly rewarding to hear.
What brings me even more joy is her appreciation of our repertoire. We performed complex sonatas by Leopold Godowsky, and the reviewer beautifully noted their lyrical, profound nature. Godowsky’s masterful works are indeed less known than they deserve to be, and bringing his intricate, searching phrases to life for such an attentive audience was a true privilege.
